THE FIRST CO-OPERATIVE MOVEMENT STAKEHOLDERS’ ANNUAL CONFERENCE 2023.

The inaugural Co-operative Movement Stakeholders’ Annual Conference was held at the Sarova Whitesands Beach Resort & Spa, Mombasa, on 13-15 June, 2023. Organised around the theme “Co-operative Business Model for Socio-Economic Transformation”, the conference aimed at facilitating a multifaceted, consultative forum of national discourse to chart Kenya’s cooperative-driven and community-led inclusive, transformative and sustainable development agenda. The conference also aimed to provide a platform for sharing best practices and striking mutual beneficial partnerships, collaborations and networks among policymakers, development partners, private sector, public sector, academia, practitioners, professional and researchers, in areas where co- operative business model had assimilated and where there lay opportunities for co- operative business model. Arising from deliberations, Resolutions were drawn geared towards a stronger co-operative sector, among them holding annual stakeholder conferences.
